Junkman and movie-maker Harlan Hollis struggles to stay alive when a jealous partner in his company hires goons to kill him. Full of amazing car chases, fantastic crashes, and edge-of-your-seat action. Everybody who loves cars and action will eat this movie. It's even something like an autobiography of H. B. Halicki. The hole lifestory of Harlen Hollis we see is much the same as Halickis own. When you think that Jackie Chan is a tough guy doing all stunts himself, than watch this movie and Gone in 60 second and see how crazy Mr. Halicki is. H. B. did everything himself, even the scenes where stuntpeople said that it is to dangerous. When you see this film from the special edition DVD, and you know the original soundtrack from Hoyt Axton, you may get a little disappointed, because it has been changed to lifeless synthesiser music. I just picked up this little gem on DVD. If you are a fan of 1980's era car chase flicks then this a fun, cheesy ride. While not as gritty as the legendary GONE IN SIXTY SECONDS(a true classic of outlaw filmaking,) this one boasts slicker production values and the World's Record for most vehicles wrecked in a movie. Full of thrilling stunts, gratuitous car crashes, sexy eighties ladies and a prize winning pig. By the way, the DVD is great. Great picture and lots of bonus footage(A peak at H.B. Halecki's car and toy collection is a treat.) Have fun.
